Secretary of Finance Cameron Goodall ’15 began this week’s meeting by reporting on approved budget requests. The Financial Policies Committee approved $310 for the Autism Awareness Group, $27.33 for the Sexual Health Awareness Group and $95.17 to SHA. and POWER. StuComm has $20,000 left in the General Fund for the quarter.
StuComm President Bianca Rasho ’13 recruited commissioners to attend Board of Trustee Committee meetings and reminded commissioners about the Kalamazoo City Commission meeting this week.
Secretary of Communications Katherine Stevenson ’15 reminded commissioners to sign up to volunteer for Homecoming events. Homecoming Committee member Alex Werder ’15 then went over a homecoming schedule for Saturday’s events. The homecoming dance will run from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m., but doors will close at 10:30 p.m. A complete schedule of homecoming events can be found on the OSI website and on page three of this issue of the Index.
Community Council member Ben Richards ’13 noted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the K Plan. He asked commissioners for ideas to commemorate this event.
