As should be expected, my team has proven Dave’s to be inferior in the first three weeks.
During week one, I took home an easy victory: 41–28. Week two was a dominant effort, as I won 78-35. In week three, however, my team decided not to show up, resulting in a victory for the bad guys. I lost 43–16. Despite our poor week-three showing, my team still comfortably holds the aggregate score: 135–106.
Ryan Hargraves, Trine’s quarterback (and my quarterback), leads the league in total scoring with 53 points, a number that includes an outburst of 30 points in week two. Michael Atwell, quarterback from Hope, is second with 38 points.
Three weeks in, we have decided to make the first tweaks to our rosters. Kalamazoo College kickers have totaled 0 points—admittedly, one week was a bye. Either way, Dave has decided it is best to part ways and is picking up the Hope College kickers instead.
In addition to this move, Dave is dropping wide receiver Zachary Brewer and scooping up Trine WR Javontae Hence. In MIAA play, Hence leads the conference in receptions and yards per game.
I will be making one move: dropping WR Jimmy Frye and picking up Hope WR Taylor Brynaert. Brynaert leads the MIAA with five receiving touchdowns this season. Expect the wins to keep rolling in for me.
